pearl street retail
This storefront was dramatically redesigned, incorporating steel frame elements that relate to the rhythm, scale and vernacular of the surrounding historic district on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. A subtle yet contemporary aesthetic is produced through careful integration with signage, lighting and awnings.
The project restores the continuity of the Mall by filling in an unsightly exterior stairwell, thus extending the brick pedestrian way up to the storefront edge. It includes upgrades necessary for the existing restaurant, high end retail shops. Further, it provides infrastructure and accommodates plans for a future second floor.
